WAX FEVER It is an ode to the evocative power of African art; A celebration in which three looks overlap, with wax fabrics – those cotton fabrics of colorful and sophisticated wax print designs considered symbols of africanity and claimed by icons Mainstream The likes of Beyoncé, Anna Wintour, Gwen Stefani and Michelle Obama – as a conductor.

The show includes a selection of masks, sculptures and antique fabrics from the Montagut gallery in Barcelona and the wax fabrics that give life to the launch collection of the ready-to-wear company Cora & Lea, with which they share visual references.

The result is a fascinating dialogue between art and fashion that transcends the aesthetic and the third apex of the exhibition: A Photographic series by Rocío Durand, whose delicacy and strength pay tribute to the gaze of artists like Omar Victor Diop , Malick Sidibé or Man Ray, who have been able to capture the creativity and vitality of Africa as no one.
